Timișenii au arătat un interes deosebit pentru proiectele culturale derulate de către Consiliul Județean Timiș, în cadrul programului Tim Cultura.
O dovadă a acestui fapt o constituie cele 335 de proiecte care au fost depuse pentru a primi finanțare din bugetul CJ Timiș. Obligația organizatorilor a fost aceea de a asigura o cofinanțare de zece la sută și de a nu avea datorii la bugetul de stat sau la cel al CJ Timiș. Selecția proiectelor eligibile va avea loc în 16 iulie, comunicarea publică a rezultatului fiind prevăzută în 20 iulie, iar depunerea și soluționarea contestațiilor, între 21 și 23 iulie. Proiectele câștigătoare vor fi implementate în acest an.
În acest an, Consiliul Județean Timiș alocă 4.440.000 de lei pentru organizarea unor evenimente culturale care promovează artele spectacolului, dansul, muzica, documentarele, cercetarea, tradițiile, obiceiurile, artele vizuale, filmul, pictura, artele decorative și educația culturală.
Tim Cultura este un program de finanțare nerambursabilă al Consiliului Județean Timiș, ale cărui principale obiective sunt: dezvoltarea unei societăți cu repere durabile; sprijinirea creativității și talentului; atragerea și valorificarea resurselor pentru dezvoltarea sferei culturale și de tineret; susținerea actorilor culturali la evenimente naționale și internaționale; dezvoltarea culturii tradiționale; îmbunătățirea ofertei culturale; promovarea produsului cultural în contextul noilor platforme multimedia.
Totodată, programul vizează menținerea multiculturalității ca element cheie al coeziunii sociale și urmărește integrarea culturii timișene în circuitul național și european de valori. Programul de finanțare va contribui și la dezvoltarea ofertei culturale timișene în contextul titlului ”Timișoara, capitală culturală europeană-2023”.
